The CARTs Official Course
The standard course is a straight 75 yards long track. As much as practible the course will be set with the wind crossing over the long side of the track at a 90 degree angle. Contestants will start at the windward most corner of the course on a starboard tack. They will then sail 3 laps around the course and will finish by crossing the same line they started at. Participants may be aided at the start by having someone push them not more than 15 yards before crossing the starting line. No pushing is allowed after the front wheel crosses the starting line. Times will be taken by a responsible adult using a stopwatch to the nearest 1/10th of a second. The watch to be started when the front tire crosses the starting line and stopped when the front tire crosses the finish line.

CARTs Scoring
Scorings will be posted on the CAR website and updated weekly in the CARTs standings section online. Division standings will ranked by adding up the times of the best 3 time trials of each participant. The lowest total time score will be the leader, the next lowest in second place and so on down the line. There is no limit to the number of times that a participant can submit. On a quarterly basis, the top 5 racers in each division will be invited to a one day event to compete head to head. Initially this to be done on a regional basis, with winners invited to an annual national event.
