Spring Break and blokart action went hand in hand during the past two weeks. The fun began in Long Beach, Ca. on March 30th with the first day of the Western Regional Championships and Rally and continued through the weekend.
We had seventeen competitors racing in four divisions, Junior Production, Junior Performance, Production, and Performance. There were 22 races completed over two days. The Pearson Clan (party of five) from Washington State deserves an enthusiasm award for all of the “comebacks”. Sisters Kristen, Megan, and Sam competed in the Junior Production division, while Mom (Debbie) and Dad (John) faced off in Production. Smiles and good time abounded. Read On

A BEACH CALLED GWITHIAN
Slivered between the waters of creation and the edge of Mother
Earth is a peaceful strip made of micro-diamonds that we refer
to as sand. A place known as Gwithian. Built with the sands
of eons somewhere in the very distant past of out planet and
placed in the ideal spot to witness the result of the hand
of God, Gwithian lays and defines His perfection. Here the
North Sea, Irish Ocean, English Channel, and the mighty Atlantic,
can and often does crash together with all the energy and fury
of a "perfect storm" to gnaw out steep craggy cliffs
as if to prevent trespassing by human kind. Yet, in their persistence
to satisfy their own curiosity, humans somehow make their way
to this place of heavenly wind blown perfection. On a long
weekend in November, with sightseers, surfers, kite boarders,
speed sailors, and other beach worshipers, there you may find
also a group of half crazed but dedicated blokarters, ready
to test their skills against the forces of nature. And nature
does not disappoint here. Read on
Good Times in Galveston !!
The Dead Bird Buggy Bash held over the Thanksgiving Holiday was a great time for all in attendance. Each day provided temps in the 70’s and winds from 10 to 18.Buggies, blokarts, and huge single line kites shared miles of open beach. Great food and Texas hospitality set the pace. Sail or eat – tough decisions
The campfire crowd provided lots of tough talk and laughs well into the night. (trash talk at it’s best).
Special thanks to Terry and Linda, Susan, Duffy, Patrick, Brad, Charles, Joseph and Cat for making me feel at home.
